About Maisons Privées

Maisons Privées (”Private Houses”) is a non-profit organization whose object is the promotion of modern and contemporary architecture (20th and 21st centuries), as well as the safeguard of the most remarkable buildings (cf statutes in French). The officers and members are all voluntary.

Launched in France in 2006 by Philippe and Solange de Chabot Maisons Privées will set up chapters in different countries in 2007. If you are interested by this project please email Philippe de Chabot.

Main actions:

  • visits of private houses
  • annual travels abroad
  • constitution of files to safeguard houses in peril and to request classification
  • support for innovative projects regarding architecture for the private use
