December: Avenue Foch 1973

Avenue Foch service-appartment buildingIn December members of Maisons Privées will visit a 1973 service-appartment building on 33 avenue Foch in Paris. This building by Maurice Novarina is one of its kind. Built by the Edmond and Benjamin Rotschild company it was sold to jet-setters looking for a Paris “Pied-à-terre“. It houses the Cercle Foch, a private club with sports facilities, restaurant and movie theater.

For your information one of the Tropical Houses by Jean Prouvé is on display quai des Champs Elysées in Paris until the end of January.

Olivier Seres made a podcast interview of Philippe de Chabot about Maisons Privées (in French). Content: Maisons Privées, the houses we wish to visit and comments about the Hotel Lambiotte visit last September.
